AMHERST, N.Y. – Why Not Marketing, a local marketing communications firm, recently helped the Williamsville Farmer’s Market, one of the area’s popular community events, continue its growth in popularity.

Why Not Marketing was hired to provide marketing and consultation services along with social media outreach to the market, which recently ended its five-month-long season. As a result, thousands of customers patronized the market this year. In addition to increased traffic at the market, which operates every Saturday from mid-May until late-October, the Williamsville Farmer’s Market Facebook page grew by nearly 700%, from just a few hundred followers to more than 2,300. In addition to its services, the agency also helped the market to build and strengthen relationships with sponsors that included Univera Healthcare, 2 Find Your Home, and Northtowns Orthopedics, among others.

“The atmosphere and offerings at the Williamsville Farmer’s Market are second to none, and we wanted to help spread that message,” said Marc Adler, president, Why Not Marketing. “It is truly one of the unique, family-friendly events that make Western New York a special place. We are very proud of what we were able to accomplish this year and look forward to building on that.”The Williamsville Farmer’s Market offers a plethora of local-only products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, fresh roasted coffee, specialty foods, homemade sausage, natural-fed beef, organic products including organic chicken, eggs and shiitake mushrooms, local wine, cheese, fresh cut flowers, herbs, plants, maple products, honey and much more.
